Behavioral Health Care Center
The Behavioral Health Care Center provides intensive outreach, monitoring, advocacy, counseling, and mental health case management services that identify and utilize community resources for the overall benefit and support of the client and/or family members. The program services also provide clinical intervention to individuals, groups and communities whose economic and psychosocial functioning has been impaired as a result of one's own or another's alcohol or chemical dependency.

Adult Intensive Rehabilitation Program (Level II:
An intensive out-patient treatment program for alcohol and substance abusers. Individual, group and family counseling ensure that clients gain an appreciation for an alcohol and drug-free life styles.

Children and Adolescent Program:
Provides case management services for children ages 3 - 18 years, who require psycho-social rehabilitation and behavioral health services.

Alcoholism and Chemical Abuse (ACA) Level I -Adult and Adolescent:
An outpatient treatment program designed to help clients obtain and maintain sobriety through counseling, case management and referral services. ACA Level I services for adults and adolescents are offered at HSI’s Main facility and South side location. Services for parolees are offered at Behavioral Interventions Day Reporting Center.

Mental Health Pre-Admission Screening (MH/PAS):
Provides screenings and assessments for persons with severe mental illness who are seeking admission to public aid funded nursing home facilities and/or need specialized rehabilitative services. Resident Review and Targeted Case Management are set up to review nursing home placements and readiness for change to different levels of care and case management support services.

Provides case management services for adults who need behavioral health services to prevent psychiatric hospitalization .

Empowerment House Program (Level III.I):
A 28 bed halfway house for chemically dependent men who are in the recovery process. Men in this 120 day residential program receive individual and group counseling and intensive case management services to develop and implement strategies to meet the objectives of independent and drug-free living. More permanent housing and employment are primary focuses while in the program.
